Sit-in for Women’s Rights to Nationality: Thursday the 24th of July,
Place : Grand Saray- Beirut
Time : from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M
The new cabinet is drafting its ministerial declaration and we are requesting that this declaration makes specific reference to an egalitarian reform of the nationality code.
The new minister of Interior, Attorney Zyiad Baroud, is a human rights and women's rights activist. He has been a staunch supporter of the nationality campaign. We are glad that he is now in a position where he can play an active role in reforming the nationality law and ensuring that it no longer discriminates against women
